Hi, my name is Sivaroopan. You may call me Roopan. I am currently working as a Management Consultant in Bangkok, Thailand. I was born and bred in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I have not tried couchsurfing until recently as I am quite new to travelling and backpacking. I am a fairly adventurous person, or at least I am trying to be one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to get to know more locals and their unique culture at places where I travel. I want to also try the local food and get to know the town well. I believe it enriches myself as a person.

Interests

Recently, I got addicted to CrossFit and I am enjoying it. I try to explore Bangkok as much as I can over the weekend. I love all sorts of adventurous activities especially if it involves water and height.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took the Trans-Siberian Train from Beijing to Ulaanbaatar and later to Irkutsk. It was my first ever solo backpacking trip far away from Malaysia. I met so many people and hear them speak about their amazing travel stories.
