About Me

I'm a third year International Relations, French and History student at the University of Cape Town. I moved here from Jozi (Johannesburg) at age 5, so a proud Capetonian I am. :)

I'm an extremely sporty and active individual with a good dose of independence and interest in people, their culture. I'm big into food, hip hop, jazz and international affairs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a big travel fanatic, and foreign cultures and languages are a growing passion! What better way than to host people in your home and welcome them to your neck of the woods?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the amazing privilege to attend and watch live President Barack Obama deliver remarks in Cape Town in 2010.

I won silver at the World Choir Games in Graz, Austria in 2010 with the Cape Town Youth Choir.

I had the chance to volunteer the Treatment Action Campaign in Cape Town. They're an amazing NGO that ensures people living with HIV/AIDS to gain fair and just access to anti-retrovirals (ARVs). It was life changing and humbling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love people. I'm passionate about social causes that make tangible and meaningful differences (aside from giving you a good feeling). I volunteered 3 months teaching kids English and basic history at a school near to where I live during my first year of uni. I volunteered at a NGO whose mission is fighting the battles for people with HIV/AIDS.

I've a big passion for languages. I'm currently learning German.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Intimate knowledge of Cape Town and South Africa -- from our complex history, to our night life, our art, music, culinary and cultural scene. Don't forget that huge piece of earth shaped like a table called Table Mountain and Lions' Head.

Some laughs...
