ABOUT ME

Health minded (60# weight loss, kept it off 15 years now). Interested in taking that a step further, getting most of the acidity out of my diet, computer geek (no, I'm not a gamer...travel with cpr), Interest in many subjects, both of which I know and do not know. Fascinated with data (numbers/statistics over a broad use, like sports, horse racing, weather, gas prices, stock market).
You learn something new with every new experience.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not quite sure. I've been kind of taking life as it is the past 10 years and have pared down the complexity of my life (namely possessions)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

would like to be involved with their website in some way (get myself used to scripting (2009) over 2006 (big difference), and once I get a little more versed with this, would be a point of contact for experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been with friends in the past who have opened up their houses to me. I am helping them out in other ways to "earn my keep." I hope to meet some new friends this way.

Interests

computers, bowling, numbers & data, website management, music (all sorts),massage, running (when my knees aren't acting up.. might bring my winter running gear to any winter destinations I go to), healthy eating, living sustainably (less dependence on a distribution system.. ), nature, naturism, word (scrabble) & card games (bridge, many others), weather, traveling to "non-touristy places" (in the US). Music, Movies, and Books

Not really a movie/tv person, so I'm not going to know what's currently out), but like music from almost all periods, starting with the 50s, and up to *almost current* (I thnk I'll pass on . My interests are varied. Lately, I have really taken an interest in more Indie types, like Arcade Fire, or Fleet Foxes to name a few. The last number of books I've read (or started to) were (are) on bridge, computer programming/scripting (php/mysql), and Stephen King (earlier stuff, but read Op-____) ,and Sustainable Communities., spiritual/channeling

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gone from being a "city boy" to living in the middle of rural Northeastern PA for the parts of 3 years, and going from seeing "no elements" (CA) to "plenty of them" (NEPA). I like going places that "aren't touristy" and enjoying myself just as well.

Walking music encyclopedia, Computer Knowledge (could possibly teach you a few things).
Would like to learn more about being self-sustaining, and maybe a location where competition for computer jobs is a little less :)
