I'm just your average 62-year-old vegetarian English teacher in Ithaca, New York. My friends, who due to my circumstances are a few decades younger than I, think I'm funny and friendly. Interests

I love to run, especially with the Hash House Harriers. I have run five marathons and 60 or so shorter races. I read a lot and enjoy conversations about ideas. Politically, I'm very progressive. Spiritually, I'm transcendentalist/agnostic/panentheist/Buddhistish/Taoistish/ unaffiliated.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most memorable experience was spending hours on the shoreline with a beached pygmy sperm whale, comforting him and waiting for the rescue van.
