About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet people with an interest in seeing the world and learning about cultures and the things that make us human.

ABOUT ME

I’m friendly and outgoing. I’ve attended 1st grade with children from 30 countries, touched the Taj Mahal, watched wild cheetahs feed in Kenya, rode a bullet train in Japan, snorkeled in the reefs around Mombasa, and saw Book of Mormon on Broadway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting and hanging with the locals at the moment. Hope to surf a bit in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a few times and I'm involved with the local community. Went to 6 amazing CS events while in Europe! The CS groups in Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam and Brussels are fantastic. If you get a chance, you need to meetup with them.

Interests

Movies, technology, medicine, cultures, traditional manufacturing techniques (blacksmithing, weaving, wood work) and food of all types.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading a great deal and always try to have a book in process. I enjoy strange, funny and so bad they are funny movies. I like music, but I'm not the guy with earbuds constantly in place.

Teach, Learn, Share

Recently took a blacksmith class (April 2011) which taught me the joys of making steel my plaything. Looking to learn how to weld (arc and/or torch) and do some basic wood working. Trying to diversify my skills. As I doubt my l33t computer skilz would be useful after the zombie apocalypse. :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, India, Japan, Kenya, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, United States
