ABOUT ME

I'm an outgoing, personable, artsy/athletic/educated gal. I love to laugh and have a deep sense of wonder about the world and what it means to be human. I've recently been laid off from my job. What a blessing!! :) So with open eyes and an open heart I'm setting out for a little globe-trotting! My goal is to cover the spectrum of experiences from dancing until the wee hours at Ibiza to meditation retreats in Nepal; I hope to do my part to make the world just a little bit happier, one smile at a time.

PHILOSOPHY

I aspire to keep an open heart and an open mind. If through example I could inspire another to extend a little more kindness, a little less judgment, see beauty amidst chaos, and find love where there was none before - then I'm a happy woman!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travelled last year for 9 months. I surfed for a few months in Italy, met fellow CSers in Munich, chatted with some in Bangkok, and met several en route. I am now back in my native Canada and looking to open my home to others and return the favor.

Recently I've been into running, yoga, biking and any outdoor pursuit. I love a great glass of wine, a little adventure, great conversation and enjoying the culinary delights! I will be soon attempting to write my first book. I adore anything artsy. I want to learn to dive. I love to swim. I am into meditation and spirituality. I love to dance.

I love Paulo Cohelo, Cat Empire, Folk festival music, DJ's, reading anything about the human experience. I love philosophy, spirit, and tales of adventure. I love to dance... to anything!!!!

Well, my upcoming journey includes studying for 5 weeks at a Buddhist Monastery in Nepal. Although an experience to this extent is absolutely new, spirituality, self exploration and being a student of the human experience are not. I love to learn and share anything in this topic. Oh and I used to be a commercial fisherman..! lol!
