Why I’m on Couchsurfing
How I participate in CouchSurfing is diverse: advise how to hitchhike; give reflexology, headache or chakra healing, contribute to peace and much more.
CouchSurfing experiece: I enjoyed hospitality in many countries and aim to be a good host inspired by those experiences, amongst others as chair person during meetings

Gandhi and Hair are my preferred movies, I play the tamburim with my band 'Rhythms of Resistance-Amsterdam', sing when I'm happy, don't read as long as I can avoid it
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
visited/lived in 104 countries world wide, 9 years in developing countries including 7 years as nutritionist. Worked 4 years with the Ministry of Health and the University of Suriname; 1 year in Sri Lanka as peacekeeper; Medecins sans Frontieres in Southern Sudan and North Korea, the Dutch embassy in Hanoi, 3 month study 'Peace and conflict resolution' in Thailand; 3 months coaching young adults in Israel/Palestine; 2 months training 'alternatives to violence' to trainers in Armenia and Georgia; offering my services in conflict areas like Nagorno Karabakh, Western Sahara, Casamance, Transnistria. Sorry, 1 thing?!
Teach, Learn, Share
I give workshops on: hitchhiking, foot reflexology, massage during headache, chacra/aura healing, CIRCA/rebel clowns, how participants can contribute to peace (like I did in Israel and for Nonviolent Peaceforce in Trincomalee/Sri Lanka), world food security. I can teach also: chess, dancing merengue etc.

I have radar for (un)identified needs as: healer (even for animals), peace professional, nutritionist, experienced traveler; am good company and fun to enjoy around
