ABOUT ME

I walk, I breathe life in, and enjoy a number of things. I believe in beauty and feel like I'm basking in it at the moment. And I love to share.

I've been spending more and more time with books and grandparents, in island houses and forests, in watering vegetables and taking care of gardens. I have found much more joy in this life than the urban one that has been a constant staple of my days, and have a great desire to delve into it more. I also found out I need peace and quiet even more than I already thought I did.

Still, life seems to be placing me on a carousel with no end in sight, so I'll be living, looking, and feeling around in a myriad places. Happy to stumble upon people who shine, know, learn, search and are alive, I hope to see such creatures on my way. A delicious, lovely meal would be my choice of spending time with them, but long walks and random encounters also do me well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surf, host, walk with and talk to people.

I have taken care of many people in my short lifetime, and have been cared for by wonderful, singular people.

Couchsurfing has been and is one of my means of discovery of the best in the human species; the kindness that comes out in shared moments, the keen feeling of somebody's purity, clarity, imagination, dreams, desires, awareness, presence and loves.

The world is teeming with great souls and nothing makes me happy quite in the same way as meeting them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

is now quite extensive, and extremely positive. I have been a member of hospitality club for some time before CS came to be, so I am familiar with the concept of traveling and spending time with local or not so local people, getting to know the cities, countries, villages and encountering new friends every step of the way, and I much prefer it to any other.

Plus, the greatest of discoveries and experiences: CS is how I met my partner and love.

Interests

Detaching myself from my hyper-analytical mind, diving in.

Interested in islands and the sea. Olives, sea shells, villages, colours, flying, drawing, herbs, the Mediterranean, ecology, animated film, walking, anti-consumerism, trees, discovering old villages and cities, walking barefoot, postcards, handwriting, flowers, jumping, films on a screen, parks and side-streets, feet in water, climbing trees, picture books, dancing! dancing, history, painting, art in so many of its forms, vegetables, fruit, words, listening to and learning languages, loving, old photo albums, taking note of the smallest details in the mise-en-scène, learning to ride my bike, plants, and plenty more. Fine meals and food, especially local foods, home-made specialties, as long as there`s no meat in them, since I`m a vegetarian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Found my love. Seen wonderful films. Drawn on my walls. Stared at the sky. Played with Lego cubes. Sat alone at the highest point in the city and read books. It was autumn. Counted my toes and fingers. Climbed a tree. Crossed a river. Fell in love with the sea.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can attempt to offer my humble knowledge of: how to plant. How to make an herbarium. How to make the simplest moves with a needle and a thread. How to sew on a button or use it in a number of ways. How to appreciate the details in your day. Oh, I`d like to learn so many things. Teach me!
