ABOUT ME

I didn't go to school until high school because we lived out in the bush on a sheep station. My lessons came by post (once a week on a truck), and were supervised by a governess employed by my parents. I had five younger siblings, so my mother obviously didn't have time to teach us herself. Going to high school was terrifying, as you can imagine.

We have hosted several young travellers from European countries through various agencies, and loved sharing our home/lives/dog with them.

Interests

I love running, did a half-marathon last year and am lining up for some more this year. We live at the beach, so spent quite a bit of time with our dog in the ocean. On weekends and holidays we take our 4WD and off-road camper-trailer to beautiful places both near and far. Weekends are full with running, cycling, spin/RPM classes at gym, beach and socialising. I have submitted a request for a kayak for my birthday.

Music, Movies, and Books

Blues music, not into movies particularly although I do enjoy some Australian and British ones, quirky authors who usually end up being female for some reason.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to train, compete, judge and teach dressage. Now that I live in a seaside city, I no longer have horses. If any of that knowledge is useful to anyone, ask away! I have also done some dog training, both obedience and agility. And I am a runner, albeit a fairly slow one. And I can crack a whip and ride a bike, and kneel on a fitball (used to be able to stand but I'm a bit out of practice).
