About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hosting, surfing, activities...It's fun to meet new likeminded people now and then. I
hosted quite some great people and surfed some great couches (unofficially ^^) - but I tend to forget keeping track of it on CS. In the last few years I didn't do CS, but it's time for a change!
Interests
Interests, Philosophy, Personality - that's all the same. I'm keen to get to know new people. I wanna know how this world works, what connects me and you, how we can make it a better place for everyone in which she and he can be happy. I hate the word "sustainable", but that's the thing! I wanna get conscious of my role in this system and help people experiencing the same. But I'm not the guy who's arguing and debating every single minute in his live...beer and/or wine should be always around ;)
After working as a research associate in a social science institute on labour standards in Eastern Europe I'm happily unemployed for some months now. Besides that I'm an anti-sweatshop activist, a volunteer chairperson of a development NGO, an amateur chef and gardener, a road bike restorer

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm mostly into all sorts of electronic music nowadays, adding "world music", Jazz, Rap, Reggae and Dub, Blues and almost everything that doesn't sound like Ed Sheeran. Oh, and country music of course, yay! Reading isn't my stongest interesst, to be honest, but if I read a book it's mostly 20th century classics or old dystopian and utopian epics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen more than one amazing thing and done more than one. Nature always provides the most dramatic experiences to me. I got lost in a jungle in Malaysia, won true friends in Europe and Asia, worked in a lot of different occupations, climbed a volcano and a holy mountain, learned scuba diving, rode trains everywhere I've traveled, and the city I live in is amazing on its own.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We could do a bike trip, cook together, do a handstand, tame a wild animal, rob a bank...in the end we'd share a story, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Cambodia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, Malta, Montenegro, Myanmar, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, United States
