ABOUT ME

I've had several jobs in my life and two callings. I have been singing for joy since I was 3 years old and as a career since I was 18. I've been getting massage since I was 20 and giving them professionally since I was 32. I have run around long enough to know that home is not a place. I have loved deeply and without reservations, and been hurt profoundly. I still love deeply and drink deeply of the love that is given me. I love to be around people who are truly accepting of others, can have a good laugh, and respect the world around them. And I like pizza. A little too much perhaps.

PHILOSOPHY

In life, you get back what you put in. I choose to put in kindness, honesty, compassion, and passion.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After living in Los Angeles, California, US for over 5 years and experiencing moments of doubt about that place daily, I finally moved on. I'm traveilng around for a bit again just to calm the wanderlust for a spell. When I traveled across the US, I stayed with lovely people in a number of places and am so grateful to them all for their hospitality and warmth.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in Oregon, California, met CSers on the Amtrak train, and constantly tell my friends about this site. It's so wonderful to me that there is still this trust in the world and this generosity of time and spirit.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

When I was in massage school, one day I was in a rather awful mood. During a class break I headed straight out the door when a classmate stopped me. She said she needed a hug, threw her arms around me and began to cry. "You are so strong, and so brave," she said as I held her and my own anxieties melted away. I told her of her own strength and assured her that she was also brave. My mood changed entirely from that point on. I am still amazed that a little recognition and touch can alter my mental state so profoundly, and so simply.

I went sky diving a few years ago over Missouri, on a whim. Well, I always wanted to go but the opportunity came randomly and I took it. Falling out of the sky, the wind moving so quickly by me then suddenly, we started to drift down. The silence was awesome. The moment lasted for days. It was like I hit a reset button. My stress levels dropped and my mind cleared. After that, the rest is noise.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

As a massage therapist, I would welcome the chance to teach people about therapeutic touch, and how it can reach people in ways most profound. I would really like some instruction on playing the guitar as my skill in that area is basic at best. I can show you how to crochet a scarf or a baby blanket. And, I make awesome borscht and will gladly cook up a pot for you when I get there.
