About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to update my profile :D
it was so in 2010, 2014 and even now...

ABOUT ME

Hi there! I am currently a wanderer because I take on anything that is new and exciting. I have lots of interests, sometimes I feel like too many. I love motorbikes, volleyball, conceptual movies, spending time at the beach, aerial silks, pottery, yoga, having fun, costume parties, music and books of course, and cats! I LOVE cats! and horses. I love making people feel happy, relaxed and enjoying themselves. I have strong morals, which sometimes leads to over-judging myself for little things, but I'm working on it :)

PHILOSOPHY

Now or never.

Happiness is only real when shared!

What I spent, is gone; what I kept, I lost; but what I gave away will be mine forever.

Respect yourself and others will respect you. (Confucius)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do both host and surf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of them were amazing! Others - just stay-overs, but still good. The best one I guess was with four surfers from Chezh Republic who were amazingly highly organised, independent, easy-going and super low-maintainance, so I was happily surprised that my surfers made me feel soooo relaxed! I always set them as an example for CS newbies :) another one was having 6 people stay at my place at once and the group was great and we all had lots of fun over 2-3 days in Irkutsk.

Interests

Meeting new people, learning languages, cultural differences, looking after and learning about animals, good tea!, books and movies that make you think!, drawing with watercolors, gardening with my parents, extreme sports and just sports, berries (I love black currant), travelling anywhere :), drums, motorbikes! I have a motorbike fever!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: all sort of music - Florence and the Machine, Regina Spektor, The Wombats, Skrillex, Pendulum, Adele, Dope Lemon, Little Dragon, SOAD, Animal Jazz, Jack Johnson, MGMT, Kings of Leon, Portishead, Two door cinema club, Coldplay. I also like the albums of Ministry of Sound.

Books: the classics like Shakespear, Dostoevsky etc (I've studied literature for 3 years, so...); from the modern writers, one of the best I recently came across were Haruki Murakami and Paulo Coelho.

Movies: Truman Show, Green Mile, Pay it forward, Ameli, Oldboy, Vanilla Sky, Butterfly Effect, A walk to remember, Angel-a, Shutter Island, The 6th Sense, Inside I'm dancing, In pursuit of happiness, The Fountain, Peaceful Warrior, Conversations with God, Yes Man, Babel, Mr Nobody, The lake house, 500 days of Summer, Hachiko and many others I can't think of at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving by the beach in Australia was pretty cool!
Bunjee jumping in South Africa was mind-blowing :)
Travelling through South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe and Namibia was absolutely amazing! It was incredible to see the wild life (The big five) - lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, elephants and others.
Partying at Burning Man - definitely an unforgettable experience!
Catching my first proper unbroken wave in Australia :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Russian or English. Cooking is something I could teach and also learn myself.

I'd love to learn to speak a third language fluently. I am studying Spanish at the moment, but still a little shy to converse.

I can teach you how to frame photos well when taking a picture, how to find really cheap flights, how to do yoga and play volleyball :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bulgaria, China, Fiji, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Namibia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Swaziland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Vanuatu, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In
