I am interested in people, culture and the ways peopl live and the food they eat. We are all human and that is the only thing we have in common. My mission is to see and experience and try to understand the ways of people from all over the world.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in los angeles. i spent my summers on the beach, sundays with my family, and endless hours in cars. I dedicated myself to swimming and volleyball through high school and into college. I love to be active and to move my body. I always just want to dance. Although i love california i never felt at home there and when i moved to colorado to go to university i really fell in love with the outdoors. I like to be outside and i like to play and go on adventures. i am a smile. ill use any excuse i can to laugh and try to surround myself with people that share the same joy. i am curious. i try to live every moment with my eyes wide open. i love to talk to people and to share stories. i have worked in restaurants since i was 15 (over 15 yrs) and love it. i can talk about food all day =) and i will try just about anything. Some people say that i use the words amazing, incredible, beautiful and love too much... but i dont see anything wrong with that =). since i graduated college in 2006 with a degree in sociology i have been on the move.. but sssssllllooooowwwlllyy. i go back to california at least once a yr to check in on the fam and friends but my passion is traveling and at least for now i have no plans to settle. i have spoent the past 5 yr and in mexico. I started out working for a non profit hostal that hosted and organized volunteers in numrous projects throught Cuernavaca. I then ran a hostal in mazunte, oaxaca for 6 months with my x and then we opened our own restaurant/ bar with live music. Since then I have been working odd jobs here and there with bits of traveling in between. and have just bought a small piece of land which hopefully one day soon will turn into a posada and open my doors to the world that has opened theirs to me. I havee friends all over the world and whever i go i make my home in no time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have slept on many couches. not through couchsurfing because i have been stationed in mexico for so long and have so many contacts all over the world, that i have forgotten to use it!! but now, 2015, Im back and want to get really involved so that i can become a good host soon! I have been a traveler since i was 18. I would say that my experiences have been based on instinct and intution. I have offered my home to people and been welcomed into homes of others based on nothing but a feeling. i am sure many of you know what i am talking about. what never ceases to amazing me is the kindness and generosity people have in opening their home to share time with you.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I just spnt 3 months in India june-sept 2014 and 2 of those months in the land of Ladakh high high Himalayas. I did a 12 day trek through th rgion of Zanskar. A rout untouched by tourists and which is now extinct due to the demand for roads to bring supplis to these completely isolatd villages. I spnt a few days in a monestary tucked away basically inside a cave on the side of a mountain in the zanskar valley. An experince i will nver forget and one that cant b repeated on foot anymore.

sorry if there are som typos ... this computer is missing a few letters and gets stuck from time to time. When i stay in peoples homes i am very respectful. I can share with you a good laugh, a delicious meal, a nice chat or even silence.
