Hello all! My name is Skiah! I am currently traveling because I am taking a year off of university to transfer to another! Back home I've been working as a lifeguard since I was sixteen, and will continue to work as a lifeguard when I return home. My trip abroad will most likely end in late winter and I look forward to all experiences my travels will bring!

Primarily, I would love to see a city from the perspective of a local. You get to learn so much more from staying with someone from the area that you're visiting than anything else. I also want to make friends and learn more about the cultures of the regions I visit. I will also learn more about the world through meeting new people with different backgrounds than myself and I highly value this.

兴趣

I love to swim and hike along with almost anything outdoors. I enjoy watching movies (especially documentaries) and spending time with my friends and family. I springboard dive and I'm very passionate about it. I also love photography along with listening to music. I'm very open minded and enjoy trying new things! I also springboard dive, and would be happy to teach one all about diving!

I enjoy a wide range of music, so it is difficult for me to select my favorite kind. I enjoy music from rap, to classical piano, to electronic music, to dream pop, to soul. More specifically, I enjoy artists like India Arie, FKA Twigs, Banks, Beach House, Childish Gambino, Skrillex, A$ap Rocky, Purity Ring, Travi$ Scott, Lauryn Hill, the list goes on :)

Everyday is an opportunity to do something amazing and impactful, but in particular, during the swim and dive season of 2015 I competed in the NCAA Regional Diving championship in Chicago. It was an amazing experience and I was so proud to represent my school, family, and friends.

I am always happy to attempt to make dinner, and I can offer hours of talking and getting to know one another. I would also be happy to teach the basics of photography, and I can teach you about springboard diving!
