About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world and all of its glory, and to help others do the same.

ABOUT ME

I'm a guy with a passion for life. Life is an adventure. Therefor, I have a passion for adventure.

High atop a mountain, underground in a dingy dive bar and anything in between, there is always a new exciting experience to be had. I love exploring new places, absorbing new culture, and meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Still working on it... probably always will be. But to sum it up so far; Being open-minded to other people's perspectives. Living, loving, enjoying good music

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experiences were in Nashville, TN and Columbus, OH in 2011. In the winter of 2013 I hitchhiked across the American West and stayed with many hosts in Denver, CO, Santa Fe, NM, San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA and more! When I have the time, maybe I'll elaborate.

I've yet to host, but hope to one day!

Interests

Music, skiing, camping, hiking, awesome people, delicious food, good beer, burying my nose in a good book, having mind blowing conversations with people of different perspectives.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Anything and everything. I studied music (amongst other things) in school. I'm biggest on jazz and rock; Miles Davis, Velvet Underground, Radiohead, Grateful Dead, Broken Social Scene, TV on the Radio, Medeski Martin and Wood, Charles Mingus and oh so much more. Also big into all sorts of electronic music the likes of Four Tet, Boards of Canada and Amon Tobin. And let's not leave hip-hop, R&B, funk and soul out of the mix.

Movies and Books: Anything that makes me think, blows my mind, or is just a ripping good story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing to the top of a mountain in Utah's Wasatch range, with my skis on my back. Reaching the top, I take in the panorama of endless mountains in every direction before dropping into foreboding steeps with untracked powder.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a teacher of sorts. I've been teaching guitar and music for years. I'm looking to learn a lot more about the environment and sustainability, how to cook better, and of course am always looking to learn new languages.

I've loved the idea of skill sharing and am a firm believer that the best way to learn is through other people; both in terms of skills and about the world, others, and even myself.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Israel, United States
