Overview
About Me
I grew up in a small town in Connecticut, went to college in Massachusetts, then spent 4 years living in Seattle. I met my husband out there (a Pennsylvania native) and we decided we were homesick so headed back East, landing this time in upstate New York. We live in a quiet town abut 10 minutes from Lake George, 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs, 1 hour from Albany, and a stone's throw to the Adirondacks. We've been pretty inactive with the Couchsurfing community since having our two children (currently 4 and 2), but as we embark on more adventurous family road trips I'd like to reconnect.
I love the outdoors and being active. My favorite place in the world to be is on top of a mountain soaking up the sun after a long hike or about to ski some fresh powder. I love food and sharing it with people, and I enjoy a good glass of wine or craft beer. I love to travel and don't get out nearly as much as I'd like, so I try to live vicariously through our guests' and hosts' stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've surfed with a few people while on the road and hosted quite a few while living in Seattle. It's a fantastic way to travel inexpensively and meet folks from all over the world. I've met so many kindred spirits through Couchsurfing!
Interests
Skiing, hiking, camping, swimming, kayaking, running, rock climbing (top rope and just learned to lead); basically anything to get outside. Also scrapbooking, crocheting, yoga and cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love folk, country and classic rock, but I'm open to many types of music. I enjoy reading adventure novels, especially about mountaineering.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I birthed both my children at home (planned - although my second came and quick the midwife barely made it!)
Teach, Learn, Share
Food and nutrition are my passion! I love to cook and would be delighted to make a meal together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook (as does my husband when we're traveling together) and would be honored to make dinner for you! In these strange COVID days we are happy to simply drop chocolate and wine as our thanks.
