I'm a friendly, independent person who is open to new experiences and to learning from others. I'm creative, brave, outgoing and smart and I like to have adventures. I recently finished my degree and so one part of my life that was mapped out is finished, the next chapter is just beginning and I'm excited to explore it :).

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to the CouchSurfing project but excited about it. I think it's a great way of making travel more accessible and it encourages the exchange of ideas, culture and friendliness across the globe and I look forward to being more involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some great experiences surfing in Japan and Taiwan. I also have experience as an exchange student, and live in a sharehouse that welcomes guests into our home. I stayed with a host family in Mimasaka, Japan which was an amazing experience. I appreciate the respect and generosity required to be a guest in someone's home and make others feel welcome in yours.

Interesses

Music, travel, politics, art and partying are the things I enjoy most. I'm interested in political history, street art, gender theory, language, yoga and random useless music trivia. I LOVE to dance, it really does make my face light up, and I paint and collage. Interesting conversations, offbeat humour, especially shared silliness and laughter in the face of challenges and hard times really make my day.

I love music, some of my favourite artists are David Bowie, Radiohead, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Prince, M.I.A., Peaches, Daft Punk, PJ Harvey, Lou Reed, Patti Smith, TV on the Radio, Sonic Youth, Le Tigre, The Divinyls, Joy Division, The Kills, Grandmaster Flash.....

Movies that I love are Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Labyrinth, Secretary, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Shortbus, Titus, The Darjeeling Limited, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Breakfast Club, Requiem for a Dream, Me And You And Everyone We Know, Edward Scissor Hands.

I love to read, though at the moment all I have time to read are my travel guides!
