About Me

CURRENT MISSION

not just sightsee...but fill the story with interesting people in interesting places

ABOUT ME

i love being able to travel and work in pretty crazy places...and pretty cool places too! i find fascinating the differences, challenges and variety of different cultures and people. if i see a random narrow alley, i like to look and see where it goes. i consider much and come to some conclusions. i also like to hear the ideas, opinions and experiences of others.

PHILOSOPHY

we've been given life and it's up to us how we choose to use it! i hope to make life more enjoyable and interesting for others and myself

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

in travel mode now and have no fixed abode! so, unfortunately i can't offer a couch to others just now. still, in my travels i hope to bring something just a little different and interesting into the lives of those with a little spare space in their homes, and lives ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

got a couple of surfs under my belt now (cheers guys!). such a cool way to get a different perspective on the places you go...local views, local perspectives, none of the dry tourist experience! hey, even got to work on my french a little! of course, there's also always been the unofficial couchsurf on the floor of a friends place, or the friend of a friend, or...

Interests

life! yep, also travel, different cultures and different people. then there's sports of all sorts, getting out into nature, good wine, and good cheese ;)(missing france already!). also interested in international health and development...

Music, Movies, and Books

where do i start...? so it's far from unique, but the lord of the rings has to be at the top for movies and books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

working in a hospital in nepal was a definite change of scenery. clinics in indonesia post-quake were also interesting.

Teach, Learn, Share

well, i know a bit about health!
i also like to reflect on life in general (when i get the time to stop for a bit!), so if you're up for a chat.. ;)
otherwise just keen to hear where other people are coming from
