About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring life.

ABOUT ME

I really love to travel; espacially the relaxed and free feeling that comes to me while meeting welcoming people from various cultures. I like to get in touch with local people, get a feeling of the cultural scene in the cities I visit, and take evrything in a pretty easy and mellow tempo. Home in Norway I like to listen to music, read books, do sports and go to cultural events. I am getting a little more lazy year after year, but used to play a lot of football and other sports, today I usally play some football for fun as well as suash, but still I love the sports. I love to sail.

I have a master in Political science, and are working as a management consultant for EY (Ernst&Young).

I am a pretty open-minded guy, easygoing and interested in other peoples life.

PHILOSOPHY

I live because the world is hiding endless number of things that are undiscovered for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have travelled a lot with a good friend of mine. We heard about CS and got really intereted, signed up for a profile and used in Brazil with only good experiences. Hosted in Trondheim (Norway) where I lived for two years, and keep using it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed some couches in Brazil, Prague, Germany and New York, and hosted some people in Trondheim, Norway. I only have good experiences; staying with nice and open-minded people, meeting other coucsurfers for drinks or dance foro and going to football matches, backyard parties ect.

Interests

I'm interested in a lot of cultural things in general, but music is my main interest. I also love fishing, sports, seeing a film, drink an espresso in a cafe or red wine at night, go to a concert or a party or just lie in a hammock reading or listen to music.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: My favourite genre is black and sarcastic comideans/dramas like the Danish film Adam's Apples and the Dogme project, and charming films like the French Amélie or the Swedish You, the living. But I also like thriller, western and action-movies.
Music: I listen to and like a lot of different music, but my favourite type is definitely rock, indie and singer-songwriters; The Doors, L. Cohen, Devendra Banhart, Sufjan Stevens, Pixies, The Strokes, Velvet Underground, Young and Dylan... also some old blues, modern jazz, etc.
Books: Funny and absurd books like the books written by Erlend Loe, and deeper ones by Jostein Gaarder, essays, poems or lyrics from the music I like. Academic books about art, philosophy etc.
Art: I love modern art from the end of 1800- up to today.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking and sleeping in a tent in a Norwegian forrest for two weeks, totally in harmony with the nature and myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you the town and share some of the Norwegian culture with you, and I hope to get to know people from other countries and learn about how the life is, what they think and how they live.
