ABOUT ME

Hi!!!my name is Spyros as you have propably already noticed and I love travelling..This is the reason i am participating in this great site-community-action (call it however u want but its great!) During all my travels (most of them just with one backpack) i ve received lot of help in lots of different ways from people i never knew and shall never meet again...Lets say it a good way of repaying them.The other reason is because i just adore my country (its history,islands,people,food,tradition,culture,NIGHTLIFE) and because of that i just want to share all my experience about them (and trust me i know a lot about these things) with people from other countries and to make them love my country..Besides these i believe that I am a easygoing guy,with tons of energy,funny and amusing, and well the rest u will learn them from here!!!

try to live as best and crazy as you can cause in the end...we just have one life!!!
Help anyone without any intention of taking something in return..Any will soon be awarded to you by itself with hundreds of different forms...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can participate by giving one quite big room of my housea big couch ,helping anyone to plan their trip to Greece and by getting out with anyone that i host to the secret places of Greece that only a local person knows!!
Pls if u are to send me a couch request, pls take some time and write a personalised message in accordance to what i write in my profile..I find it sad when couchsurfers send a hunderd requests just by writting a non personal request...
I always try to do everything possible for my couchsurfers to have the best time in my country.I also try to take a leave from my job so i can pass as much time possible with them and show them the real Greece and the best parts of it.....I only have a single request-demand..Try to notice me as early as possible for any changes in your plans..In case someone doesnt let me know in advance that his plans are changed and I wait for him until the day he is supposed to appear (plus losing my leave) has a guarantied negative feedback..Sorry guys but this is a repetitive and new thing happening in CS so i cant accept it! :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

during these two years in cs i believe i ve accumulated quite a lot of experiences from cs. I ve hosted something more that 15 persons with almost none negative experiences..I ve learned many stuff and discovered places in city that even i didnt know..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

No reason to be proud of anything...Every thing i ve done someone else has done it before..I shall be proud when i shall have kids... but can't hide that i am a little proud of surviving 8 months in Aghanistan

All kinds of knowledge are desirable and acceptable.But let me teach you one thing..
In ancient Greece the biggest sin was not to accept a traveller in your home,share your food with him and give him a bed to sleep..You know why??Zeus the leader of ancient gods was the god of thunder and hospitality...Of thunder because it was something so marvellous but so terrifing as well and no one could explain it.Hospitality because to accept someone you dont know in your home was beyond humans usual acting..It needed a greatness of heart and it was the best thing a simple man could do for a fellow man that he didnt know of..And thats why Zeus represented those two things...Because they were the most marvellous thing in Earth..Thunder and Hospitality! (For me thunder has lost some of its magic since then...But hospitality???well i shall show you from close!)
