About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to empower underprivilidged communities to take control of their health
ABOUT ME
I'm originally from Alberta, Canada - a brilliant place where the vast golden prairie meets the majestic Rocky Mountains.
I graduated from the University of Lethbridge (Canada) and I'm a past member of the UofL Rotaract Club [Rotary International anyone?]. In my spare time I work with a Canadian NGO called the Bridges of Hope (www.thebridgesofhope.com) engaged in development work to build the capacity of indigenous populations. Prior to landing in the Netherlands, I spent some time working on HIV/AIDS awareness projects in Burkina Faso, with the Bridges of Hope.
I'm completed a Masters degree in Health Science in the Netherlands last year. I'm currently working for an environmental health NGO that lobbies the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The opportunity to witness happiness and joy in the depths of poverty has left me speechless. Profound caring and concern for another human being rates high as well. - These aren't 'amazing things' necessarily. People pay lip-service to these two concepts, but only a fraction actually realize the beauty in these seemingly average achievements.
