Overview
About Me
I am a recent graduate student from Berkeley, California and have been traveling Oceania since January, 2017.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people from all around the world and learn more about the places I visit! Meeting people from different places with different perspectives has been my favorite part of traveling, and I hope to keep meeting worldly people from all over the globe!
Interests
I studied geology in graduate school, and am a nature lover who enjoys experiencing and learning all there is to learn about Mother Earth.
I grew up playing tennis at a very high level, and played in college. I don't play much any more, but I love to play and watch most sports.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like 70's music, reggae, classic rock, alternative stuff, and many other random songs.
Forrest Gump and Shawshank Redemption, plus too many other comedies and other movies to list.
Currently enthralled by 'The Songlines' about aboriginal culture and nomadic movement.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Had the pleasure of climbing and standing on top of a 80 meter, 2000+ year old giant sequoia tree.
Did the Kepler Track (a 60 km mountain loop in South Island New Zealand) in one day because I couldn't no campsites or huts were available. That was maybe the best day of my life!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a vegetarian and I don't have an incredibly wide variety of cooking skills, but I do cook a lot, as opposed to eating out, and can cook up some veggie meals for you if you'd like.
I haven't been trained in too many other skills, but I am a quick learner, and can help with just about anything!
