About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding a work life balance as I am in the middle of my psychotherapy training, which means making lots of appointments for different things rather than working 9 to 5

ABOUT ME

I am a 28 year old currently in the middle of psychotherapy training. I am curious, sociable, active and open to a broad range of things. Within the last year I have begun to cherish free time and foster it. I'm into climbing, karate, dancing and currently beginning to learn the guitar.
Everything else you'll get to know once you met me ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Learn. Now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I like the idea of locals introducing one another into a new culture. Being able not only to do the tourist snapshot and make casual conversation with locals but rather getting insight into the actual world of someone living in the place you are visiting makes couchsurfing worthwhile in every city around the globe even in my home country.
My experiences range from couchsurfing meetings/gatherings to being hosted twice (one of the references was categorized in "personal" and hosted once. Currently I have very little space to host unforunately but I hope next time I move there will be more room so I can host more often. Until then I'm always glad to meet up and show you around the city if we find a good time in my packed schedule beforehand ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was one of those days, which were getting long and hot. I had already hitchhiked down some long roads with my ex-girlfriend and was finally at the recommended city in Montenegro. Unfortunately the city was not really interesting. We finally decided to leave after a short nap within the next park. At the entrance gate there was a sign "1900 century hospital". I decided to take a look around and finally found it. Walking in through the door the first thing I noticed apart from the wide entrance hall and the elegant spiral staircase was the wall color. Apparently it was peeling off from long and humid days. Walking through the house I wondered: Back home in Germany they would have made this a museum, how come...? And I saw half destroyed furniture and in one room old russian medical files splattered all over the floor with pictures attached to the first page. Something happened here which was not quite alright. Was it after the russian occupation ended?, people storming in, taking everything they could use or sell, leaving all the rest destroyed... - and out of this was born my couriousity about "urban exploration", the fascination of decaying buildings.
