Overview
About Me
An American abroad. I attend Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona USA normally. But until the end of summer 2016 I am studying in Groningen, Netherlands. Up until this point I had never been outside of the United States but I have traveled a good deal in the western part of the country.
I'm very laid back and non-judgmental. Everyone you ever meet knows something you don't and has experienced something that you haven't. It's a big world and the more I go out and see it the more I appreciate it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet locals and actually experience the culture of the countries I visit. I'm also a good guest to host in your house because I will help out with cleaning or cooking. It's just much more personable than staying in a hostel.
Also to save money, because I'm a college student.
Interests
Music Festivals, Snow skiing, Mountain biking, Hiking, Backpacking, Good beer. The outdoors, I love being outside. Sometimes it's just nice to hang out with friends and chill on the couch though.
Traveling. I haven't traveled that much yet outside the US but I'm changing that.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Anything EDM, except trap. Reggae, especially cali reggae. Classic rock, rap, alternative, pretty much anything but metal and country.
Movies: The Dark Knight, Fight Club, Ferris Buller's Day Off, Forest Gump, The Godfather. I mostly watch comedy's and action adventure.
Books: Getting back into reading currently. I'm working on finishing my first book in about 6 years. So any suggestions would be appreciated
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Took a week long trip to Colorado for spring break. Slept in the back of my car and almost froze to death (I would wake up in the middle of the night to put on my ski gear so I could stay warm). Skied every day and had the time of my life
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn about the culture of the places I visit as well as the hosts themselves. This is why I am couch surfing and not staying in hostels. I can teach you how to swim or snow ski, as I have taught both. However, they require more resources than you probably have available.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have traveled all over the western United States and have a good deal of knowledge about that area of the world. I'm always happy to show people pictures and maps of the places I have been.
