About Me

Current Mission:
Right now I'm on a gap year, traveling for the first few months through Europe and Asia before going home to work and then on a climbing trip in South America later this year. I'm trying to meet as many people I can and see more of the world beyond where I've always lived in California. I'm also trying to live as fully as possible before returning to Boston to resume my studies next year.

About Me:
I'm a pretty easy going traveler and have thoroughly enjoyed trying different types of lifestyles around the world these past few months. Im open to most things. Although I'm not a huge partier, I do enjoy going out, especially in new cities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I'm traveling for the year, I've found way more enjoyment in staying places where I can meet people and hear their stories. Couchsurfing I think is a perfect opportunity to do just that and actually get to know the people I meet instead of just casually meeting them briefly in a hostel room or something of the sort.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are far too many books to name but recently I've been on a bit of a scifi kick reading the likes of Dune, the Hitch Hiker's Guide, the Game of Thrones Series, and Enders Game.

For movies I'm a big time Lord of the Rings fan, also Star Wars, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and The Breakfast Club are way up there.

For TV series I really like Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Parks and Rec, and Firefly.

Music is a huge part of my life and I like most things but my favorites are definitely the classics like the Rolling Stones, Elton John, the Temptations, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Thailand I was able to hand feed wild monkeys from the mangroves, which still amazes me that I actually got that opportunity. When we rode up on the boat, about 50 monkeys came running from the mangrove towards us, and we got to spend about an hour handing them root vegetables. There were only 5 us on this quite waterway and the whole experience was entirely surreal as monkeys jumped up on the boat for some food. Some even had babies clinging to them as they swam through the water.
