ABOUT ME

My wife and I married in january 2010, it was winter and there was snow everywhere in Austria. It was very cold but the sun was shining and therefore the glittering snow touched the nature in an atmosphere like in a fairytale. We have been on the Seychelles for our honeymoon where we got to know wonderful and heartwarming residents. The rest of the year 2010 we worked a lot, Mirjam as a nurse at a hospital in vienna and I as a network engineer. In 2011 the time was ready to leave the rat race! So we were very busy to arrange everything for a one year trip through south america. We moved all our property from vienna to the house of our parents and lived then one year out of our backpacks...
...for christmas 2011 we were back again at home in Austria. In spring 2012 we moved from vienna to a house with a huge garden in the countryside in the province of Burgenland, approximately one and a half hours far from vienna. There we live at the moment with our baby Benjamin, enjoying nature and family.

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Our couch was often occupied by friends throughout Austria, even though we were not a part of the CS project. Due to our trip we started to look for opportunities to stay abroad and became an advice for CS from a friend in Vienna. We are now renovating our house and are very busy therefore, but just write us and tell us your motivation to stay some days with us far away from every big city inmidst the beautiful nature of Austria.

Due to the fact that we are vegetarians we wanna share our knowledge about healthy food and lifestyle in general. We are open for habits of people all around the world. Also we have collected not a minor knowledge about religious and philosophical matters and are happy to share and discuss everything that has to do with that.
