About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a very outgoing and positive person. I see the future full of bright possibilities even though sometimes the state of the world can be daunting. I plan to invest my energy and career in trying to improve the state of the world, whether this is through environmental or humanitarian work (Or both!). I love to travel and meet new people. I have moved around my whole life, to many different states and countries, and I have found that talking to new people and hearing their life stories and views teaches me the most about life and loving.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in love as the strongest force in my life. I think that love is what makes life worth living, whether that is the love between family, friends, lovers, or humanity. I try to live my life with as much compassion as I can, and I am still figuring out how to do so. I find that listening and observing other's acts of kindness (And reading) is the best way to learn how to live a compassionate life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I just made a couchsurfing account, and I am so excited to get started! I have heard about couchsurfing for a while now, and it's about time I joined in on the fun! I'm grateful for anyone who is so kind as to take me into their home. One day I hope to be a host myself! (Unfortunately dorm living does not cater to it at this time)
Interests
I love the outdoors, hiking, swimming, biking, running, and rock climbing. I also love good food! I am a vegan, and I love good vegan food and fresh fruits and vegetables! One day I would like to have my own garden and grow some of my own food. I also love intelectual conversation, and hearing about people's lives. I am open to talking to everyone!

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch very many movies (I'd rather be outside!), but one of my recent favorites was Les Miserables! For music, I love alternative, some country, and a bit of modern music as well. I also like to listen to music from different cultures.
Books - The Giver, Eating Animals, The Female Brain
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently visited the Embera people in Panama. These individuals live in huts along rivers and subsits off forest plants and fish. Seeing their freedom from material "necessities" and low-impact on the environment inspired me to decrease my attachment to material possessions and endeavor to decrease my environmental impact on the Earth. I found my visit very inspiring.
