ABOUT ME

I'm a 20 years old guy from the cold city of Québec in canada. I'm an open minded guy who love to know people, other culture and other language. I love doing some sport, even if sometimes, when I'm at home I'm a bit lazy.

I dream that one day I'll be able to travel around the world, not in one of the big ship with a guide, I want to be able to choose where I'll go and where I'll end. Some day this dream will come true I'm sure about that. I'll start with a simple trip and after that we'll see what happen.

I heard about CouchSurfing while I was in high school from someone that my "Géographie Touristique (touristic geography)" present us. I was the only one that knew a little bit what it was and now I'm ready to give it a go. It's a great idea to give the chance to people to meet locals who are willing to host them in there house and even show them around, like that people will be able to see things that they wouldn't have if they where going in an Hotel.

I'm a big day dreamer and always have lots of things in my mind. But right, now I'll think about my next travel, the first travel I'll do by myself without anyone and it will be the first time that I leave the continent. So Cardiff, here I come.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm not able to host anyone because I live with my parents and they are not really safe about couch surfing, maybe after I show them that when I was host everything went well they'll change there mind. But as for now, I won't be able to host anyone.

I'll go couch surfing in the month of may I hope. First travel outside the continent, first couch surfing experience, I can't wait.

Interests

I'm someone that really like life, I like to just walk around, discover new things, I can be happy to just sit in a park on a sunny day, or I can found it interesting to walk around stores and see what local people sells. I also love language, it's strange to say that like that, but I really like learning languages, every place I'll be going I'll try to learn a little bit of the language there and maybe buy a book to learn the language (or maybe a dictionnary).

I'm also someone who loves asian things, like book, culture. I've started to learn some japanese and some korean but because I'm self teaching me those language it's not really easy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm someone that can read barely everything (ok maybe not history book), I'm someone who love asian culture so I read a lot of mangas but I read other type of book also. I think one of the book that I remember the most that I red recently was a book titled : Aliss, by Patrick Sénécal, an author from Québec, his books are so strange seriously. You have to be mentally ready when you read his books, but they are really well written.

As for the movies, I'm a big movie watcher, specialy when I can watch them in the original language. Often, if I have the chance to listen to the original soundtrack, I'll do it. So if I have a movie that come from germany and I have to choice for the language between German an English, if there's english subtitles I'll choose German for sure. The only type of movies I can't stand are horror movie.

For the music I can't say what I like and what I don't like because I can love every style of music but I can hate them to. I'm not a big rap lover but I can still like some rap song and it's the same things for every style of music. Always listening to music, before I had my cellphone I always had my iPod in my pocket.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Right now there's not anything amazing that I've seen. Wish to see some when I'll travel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll would like to learn language that for sure and some culture about other country. Cooking from other country too, I'll try anything that someone cook me, I'm not afraid to taste something new or anything.

If people want, I can teach them a bit of French, it's a difficult language at first so I won't be able to teach it perfectly but I'll do my best.
