About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stay curious.

ABOUT ME

My pronouns are they/them. I love moving, changing, and being challenged. Freediving is my latest passion and interest — especially when traveling.

I prefer to be outside whenever possible, especially in the presence of rivers, mountains and oceans. An evening with any combination of starry skies, fire, a beverage and honest conversation with good humans makes me very happy.

Words written or spoken with intent inspire me.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is relationships and it's pretty fascinating how we all affect one another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm interested in hanging out with you...this includes a shelter to sleep in if I have one at my disposal. If not, let's at least get together and chat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So good. So rich. Travel as a local.

Interests

Nature, people and the connection between them. Water. Physical activity. Psychology and the human psyche.

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes please! Sapiens, Braiding Sweetgrass, Till We Have Faces. Anything by James Baldwin, Krakauer or Steinbeck. Nature documentaries, The Jungle Book (original), Annihilation (the book and movie).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?? Surfing in the Chilean Pacific with penguins was unforgettable. So was backpacking the Patagonia for a week in the dead of winter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak a bit of spanish and love talking about the complexity/diversity of language.

I'm always down for sharing my various life experiences and philosophies that shape who I am.

I’ve become a bit of an expert on thrifty travel and writing as a travel editor for a regional magazine.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru

Countries I’ve Lived In
