ABOUT ME

I have experinced alot of what life has to offer and love nothing better than a good discussion over a fine meal and a cold beer, with an agreeable companion.

Recently decided to live more and work less, and now work for myself when I feel the need. I survive thru Internet auctions, property trading and working as a builder.

Having spent several years in my early twenty's traveling throughout Australia, Sth East Asia, China and Tibet, Canada, USA and Mexico, I have now decided to do it all again before I fall off the perch.

Father to 4 teenagers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am on the road at the moment "doing" the Trans Siberian experience and then the mediterainian. Love traveling and hope to meet, greet and surf with like minded people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Slept everywhere from culverts, churchs and beaches to hostels and couches lol ... I also lived in a Panelvan for nearly a year while working and exploring the Ausie outback in the 80s.

Travel (naturally)[UPDATE] Have been on the road for 3 months now - Vietnam, Laos, China, Mongolia, Russia, Baltic and off to Turkey November; Photography; Computing and internet usage; Movies that tell a good story; Being creative; The study of the worlds religions; Good discussion with interesting people; Playing pool and drinking cold beer; Seeing what is around the next corner and over the next hill;

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending my 25th birthday viewing Mt Everest from a base camp in Tibet after having hitched over the Himilayas with the Peoples Army, monks and a number of willing truckies. Highlite of the day was eating a "sampa" (barley flour) birthday cake, one egg and a can of oranges in celebration!!!
