About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Playing for change: use music to help make this world a better place.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 24 year old Belgian living from his music nad a continious traveller. I'm easy going, and treat others how I would like to be treated. I have a passion for Roots music, which I try to share with other people by gigging and busking whenever I can.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't mistreat nobody 'cause you got a few dimes. That includes animals, as I am a vegetarian.

When I see something wrong in the world, I always think: Somebody should do something about that. We are somebody too...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Soft spot for roots music: Folk, Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, African music, Mongolian Kyrgyra

Books: too many to name; although my favourite novelist probably is John Irving. Love the Beat literature as well.

Movies: Old ones ofcourse, and off-beat stuff. If I should name a favourite, I guess it would be one of those old Westerns, like 'Once Upon a Time in America'. A Well-spent Life is also a beauty to behold.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participating in a benefit CD, 29 Years - 29 Songs of which the profits were used to support a child cancer carecenter. Amazing what one can do by playing music. People say the Blues is bad, but I reckon it's the best thing I've ever had.

Now doing this 'being a touring musician' fulltime, and it is absolutely mindblowing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I might teach you a few tricks about busking, camping and survival. And if that doesn't work, I can show you how to build your own guitar out of garbage and teach you some tunes. Can also show you how to cook some wicked vegetarian/vegan dishes, and even make them taste good...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wifi, garden, shower (as in, you can can shower - I won't scrub your back), time, food, ...

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
