About Me

I'm a native of New York state and a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where I studied creative writing and psychology. I currently work in college admissions in Manhattan and live in Brooklyn. I travel the US extensively for work and devote a lot of my spare time to my masters program in psychology, reading, and writing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has been an excellent experience for me in the past and I greatly enjoy meeting new people and truly experiencing a place through this resource. I have stayed with various couchsurfers across Europe and the US, and many of my trips would not have been possible without the flexibility and openness of the couchsurfing community.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite books include The God of Small Things, Catcher in the Rye, Middlesex, Let the Great World Spin, and The Sandman series. Favorite musicians are The Avett Brothers, Mountain Goats, Jenny Lewis, Mal Blum. My favorite movie is Igby Goes Down, have you seen it?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently participated in a collaborate art event called Evolution, in which my poetry was used as an inspirational jumping off point for visual artists and photographers. I then edited and shared my writing based upon the work they developed within this space.
I have also seen someone lick their own elbow, which is supposedly impossible.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to cook a delicious, veggie centered meal for anyone I stay with. Other random offerings include baking, a collection of arbitrary history trivia, a mean scrabble game, and as a former lifeguard I can technically offer peace of mind and swim lessons?

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Puerto Rico, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
