About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel back to Thailand when I am rich enough
ABOUT ME
Mad as a bastard, happy as Larry. Unique hippy-ish type, layed back and chilled, honest single guy. Happy to share a song, a story or a bed. Musicians heart and poets mind, yet also an advisor and sometime inspiration to others.
PHILOSOPHY
A very simple motto; that is not so simple to stick to but one thing that anyone can do; devoid of religious or political intent, it is merely this...
"Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For my part I simply offer free accomodation and a friendly face. I like to travel and meet new people and am willing to do what I can so that others may do too.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I sort of had several meetings with like minded people through chance in my past travels. From the simple indulgence of beer(s)and a chat with a stranger, through to the offer of a yacht off the coast of thailand for my honeymoon.
Interests
I love the arts; wether it be the Tate gallery or the royal ballet, Terry Pratchett or Tolski, I love both creating and watching all manner of artistic endevours. Love walking through the wilds; the better the view the greater the walk. Love football, especially Man United. Love to learn from new experiences and enjoy meeting new cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
My own music and writings I obviously think important or would not continue... Also like Tolkien, Pratchett, Weiss & Hickman, Frost, Benjamin, Chekov, Shakespeare... As for music; I like a little of everything; past, present and no doubt future. Movies are just as eclectic but must mention Pulp Fiction and Disney's the Lion King.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The birth of my children aside, my single most amazing feat was to climb up the holy mountain in Chaiyapum. The night before I had been assaulted by an army of mosquito and was quite unwell but the sight of the mountain galvanised me. I had gone there on a trip with my adoptive thai family and a 4 year old Pooh was too tired just a few hundred steps up, for no intelligent reason whatsoever, I placed him on my shoulders and proceeded to half run/play horse up to the mountains summit. Half way up my feet were bleeding so I removed my trainers and hung them around my neck before continuing on with Pooh still in place. We stopped to catch my breath a few times and take in the mighty scenery but by the time we reached the top I was in some duress: My breathing was extremely laboured and my heart was racing so fast I thought it would burst, then from somewhere through the trees two monk appeared; a male and a female, who greeted me and tended to my wounds and sickness. We waited at the monastery up there while everybody caught up and drank a few gallons of water, given by the monks and by the time I thanked them and bid them farewell my body and mind where refreshed. Later that day, In the blackened space of a cave, I touched the hand of a woman with whom I would later share love, for the very first time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have very good experience of acting, directing and producing. I've taught people to sing, to talk or simply to walk with confidence. I'm best at teaching life skills but would love to meet a hypnotist who could cure me of my need to smoke.
