About Me

CURRENT MISSION

is to GET MOVING!

ABOUT ME I work on the ferry boats that run up and down the sound here. It's been by far one of the most interesting jobs to work. Only drawback is the long hours and on call schedule. When I'm not chasing boats I play guitar, nylon to be exact. Love the sound of spanish guitar and the movement that comes with it. Just about anything from the family of string instruments I am fascinated with. I also like to take in the beautiful scenery and landscapes we are surrounded by here. Whether it be a walk through downtown late night or day hike in the mountains, it's all therapeutic.

PHILOS health is our greatest wealth, your body is the only place you can reallylive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Spreading the word to people I meet on the road about CS and by helping create positive hosting experiences for people that I surf with. Don't have a place of my own at the moment but when I do I will gladly be open for surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have traveled all over the southeastern states by bicycle a couple times now. If I wasn't staying in a hotel or camping out I was couch surfing.

Interests

The spanish language. Owning and working on cars especially the early Japanese and early American muscle . Breathing properly,Cooking/experimenting with food. BICYCLES, natural aspiration, Flamenco and Bossa Nova chord progressions. Applying the stir to the idly mixture. The infinite delight and mystery that comes with being human.

I found this piece very interesting, you should read it. Author Unknown

The following is an excellent symbolic story of the way 'norms' become accepted without question or even the knowledge of where they came from. Start with a cage containing five monkeys. Inside the cage, hang a banana on a string and place a set of stairs under it. Before long, a monkey will go to the stairs and start to climb towards the banana. As soon as he touches the stairs, spray all of the other monkeys with cold water. After a while, another monkey makes an attempt with the same result - all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon, when a monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it. Now, put away the cold water. Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and wants to climb the stairs. To his surprise and horror, all of the other monkeys attack him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs, he will be assaulted. Next, remove another of the original five monkeys and replace it with a new one. The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment with enthusiasm! Likewise, replace a third original monkey with a new one, then a fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the stairs, he is attacked. Most of the monkeys that are beating him have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs or why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey. After replacing all the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys have ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, no monkey ever again approaches the stairs to try for the banana. Why not? Because as far as they know that's the way it's always been done!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I use to own a 1975 Honda Civic with the little 1.2 liter with 4 spd manual package. Best car I ever owned, never let me down once. That car took me everywhere, Not to mention paying only 20 dollars for a full tank getting 35 miles a gallon. Amazing this car was.

NIN show in Knoxville @ the coliseum was amazing

I was once got to ride shot gun in an Ultima GTR for qualification laps @ Seattle International Raceway. Reaching 150 mph on the straights what a rush that was.

The world of music is quite amazing
