PHILOSOPHY

Take in a zen moment when there is one. Somethings should remain as they are--rivers, shorelines, and old girlfriends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to see how people make their lives where they are and what draws them to the place. I am breaking some new ground here. I am comfortable having over people I know through friends and so I like to think I am open minded to having a couch surfing experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm an experienced couch CRASHer but surfing is new to me. Of course, there's nothing finer than camping out in new places.

Interests

silent sports. walk thru aquariums. catching fish. cooking outside. climbing around. rock hopping.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music, live blue grass/folk, outdoor concerts, 90s rap, blues fests. Akira Kurosawa movies. Richard Bach's Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah. Clive Barker's Imajica was the last epic novel I read. Now I read mostly short stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a grizzly chase a black bear through a crowd of tourists in Yellowstone NP. I wish I had my camera then. The interaction between nature and people never ceases to amaze me.

Teach, Learn, Share

A missed opportunity will usually present itself again. It's just that it's so much sweeter the first time around.
