About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeing and doing more things

ABOUT ME

I spend most of my time fighting juggernauts, reading large books, talking and eating. I like traveling and living out of a backpack.

PHILOSOPHY

Life should be an endless pursuit of knowledge and experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By imposing myself on other peoples' couches, or at least attempting to. I host people when I can, and I'm always happy to help travellers out when I have the time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Norway, Netherlands, Germany and the USA.

Have hosted mostly Germans but also Canadian, Austrian, Spanish, Korean and French peeps.

Interests

Punk/hardcore music, history, travel, compassionate & ethical lifestyles, books, politics, science, trivia, the Occult, occasionally climbing trees, days when it's not raining and I'm outside, rain on days when I'm inside, a deeply passionate hatred for organised religion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My band traveled to Japan for a 3-week tour in 2008. We drove overnight from Osaka to Tokyo and I awoke in the back seat around 8am. As we came out of a tunnel and rounded a bend in the road, a snow-capped Mt. Fuji appeared right in front of us. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen, second only to the Milky Way galaxy belt on a clear night in the countryside.

My band also toured Java in Indonesia and visited some places that are as far off the tourist map as can possibly be. This was a truly special experience.
