About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see over that next horizon, never mind the fences.

ABOUT ME

I grew up on the central coast of California. I've traveled a bit up and down the western realm, but I call California my home.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive each day to experience the joy and wonder that is life. In a world tainted by profit and greed, I like what Lennon said; "All we need is Love."
So, I try to be full of heart in everything I do (not easy).
The only thing I know, is that I don't really know all that much. That is what makes life so exciting. Every day brings new lessons, new experiences.
:)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I help out around the house and try to be a gracious host.

I am intrigued by communication and welcome the challenge of language barriers.

I enjoy conversation with people. I like to hear about where they've been, what they've seen. I like to hear about what it is like were they are from. I like to ask their opinions on many different subjects.

I like to talk stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a job one time up in Idaho on the Clearwater River. I was working with my mentor, a man named Graywolf.
As a "Primitive Living Skills River Guide" I in turn became a mentor for the many visitors we had that year. Every day after breakfast we would go into the woods, searching for various plants which served as foods and medicines. Usually we gathered enough for a tasty salad for dinner time. That is something to see, kids providing their own food. The sense of accomplishment is something to admire, I say.
As the days went on, we would have some fun, practicing skills such as bows, and atalatl, rabbit sticks and throwing hatchets.
And we would get some time canoeing down the Clearwater River, the same river Lewis and Clark explored back during their search past the Louisiana Purchase.
That was one fun job.
