One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Cairo, there are no stop signs and traffic lights are ubiquitously ignored (crossing the street is like playing frogger). Consequently, busses don't stop when they need to pick up passengers, they just slow down to about 5 or 6 MPH. If you are a strapping young Egyptian man, you can jog alongside the bus and hop in fairly easily. If, however, you are an eighty-year-old ancient running alongside the bus in a full-length gallabaya, you are the most amazing thing I have ever seen.
