About Me

CURRENT MISSION

exploring New England and the East Coast

ABOUT ME

Ah, I hate these "about you"-sections...prepare yourself for some cliches...

well, My name is Isabell (my friends call me Isi or Izzy) and I like people, distant places and hot caffeine. I could go on now how I'm an out-going, nice, helpful person, but what does that mean and who tells the truth on the internet anyway?

I'm from Berlin but I'm currently living in Montreal, Canada for four months and I'm loving it! This city just has some many amazing things to offer.

I really like talking and exchanging ideas! I love the things you can learn from people if you free your mind and try to see things from another point of view. That's also what I drew me to CouchSurfing. I'm really excited to see what kinds of experiences CS has to offer!

Oh yeah, and I have a weird obsession with baking muffins and giving American tourists directions (even if I don't know how to get there myself)!

PHILOSOPHY

"Everyone dies, but not everyone lives." - I'm trying to make the most out of my life and experience as much as possible!

What can I say I guess I listen to what some people refer to as "alternative" (no idea what that actually means), but really I have an open mind, when it come to music, feel free to recommend cool stuff to me . :)

Books: I have a knack for classic British literature, such as The Picture of Dorian Gray and Great Expectations, some German classics like Thomas Mann's and Hermann Hesse's works, The World Acording to Garp by Irving, On the road by Kerouac, and yeah, I love Harry Potter and I'm not ashamed of that.
