Snowboarding in Austria and a European Adventure!

ABOUT ME

Together we embarked on a wild adventure into the great unknown with just our van, her name was reefer, and the contents in it. The mission was to make it to our own little beach shack in costa rica and float around the caribbean for as long as possible.

We met working at a hostel in Kelowna, BC in 2010, and our love of travelling, food and meeting new people meant we hit it off straight away. We worked up at big white for 4 months and then the itchy feet set in again. We cruised through North and Central America, picked up hitchhikers and meet as many people as possible and did those things that we have never even dreamed of. It was time to chase the sun!!

Then back in Brisbane, Australia we spent 3.5 years working and finished our studies (Timmy - Horticulture and Asha - Veterinary Nursing and Business) before jetting off for this European adventure! Both of us have never been to Europe so looking forward to many new adventures :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

What started with sleeping in the car in random car parks grew to the most wonderful people giving us food, shelter and showing us what the locals get up to. We have been able to meet horse riding gymnasts, garlic farmers, meercat owners and a whole range of characters.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Movies: Cant go past a good cartoon or animation movie, anchorman is always a winner, pretty much anything thats not a cheesy rom-com.
Music: love a range of music especially hearing new stuff. Some bands we are cranking at the moment are Alt-J, Guttermouth, Snakadaktal, Boy and Bear, Glass Animals and Sublime. This is such a tough question - we are always looking for something new to listen to so help us out!
Books: Tim is into business related books and Asha's currently onto the 4th Game of Thrones book, and a book she cant pass up on is Watership down. Definitely keen to swap books as we go along.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Tim: Sat with homeless people in Vancouver and listened to their stories. Running backflip off an 11metre cliff in Vietnam.

Asha: For me, the most amazing thing i've done is drop everything i was doing in Australia and bought an impulse ticket to Canada. Growin up in a little country town I just had no idea how much was out here to see and how many people I can meet. Travelling really is living the dream!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Snowboarding - finding people to ride with! timmy wants to teach his pet monkey how to use the toilet. We are keen to learn some new cooking skills aswell!
We can teach anything to do with landscaping, how to build a retaining wall, how to cook a mean chilli, animal first aid, proper lifting methods, how to pour the perfect beer
