About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Always adventure.

ABOUT ME

I never thought I'd want to travel, but now am continuously pushing my return to the states back further and further (what started as two months to china has now amounted to three years away.)

I was last in Russia. I wrote about it here: http://howtorussia.tumblr.com.

As of November, I've officially traded in the snow and vodka for cyprus.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people. I sometimes use csing for housing when I travel, but usually as a social network, especially in Russia. I have a job with no coworkers and don't attend school, so I'm always on the look out for new drinking buddies.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really genuinely enjoy meeting people and couchsurfing is a great way to facilitate that. I'm usually traveling myself, so I don't host much (and usually do the hotel or hostel thing, so don't get hosted much) but I've met some really wonderful people on this site.

Interests

I love moving someplace new, and the first few days (weeks!?) of making it into your own place and exploring the neighborhood and picking out your local haunts.

I like teaching, and learning, which I suppose go hand in hand. I love singing and keep trying to pick up guitar.

Recently, I've been trying to learn Russian, and have managed to get the Cyrillic alphabet down. I'm now reading everything I can, though I understand very little of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I watched street racing in Russia. It was ridiculous, as one would expect.

But really - the most amazing times I have are always when I walk down a random alley, meet some stranger and end up in a weird cafe or at someone's grandmother's house or something equally off the map.
