About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Try it all once!

ABOUT ME

This is a really hard topic to cover. Well, I'm a 24 year old graduate student, and I am loving life right now. I grew up in northwest Arkansas, and go to college there. I am hoping to move to Seattle or somewhere on the west coast in January 2014. I am excited to start a new adventure and break away from northwest Arkansas. Things are changing and I want to grow and change with them!. I love theater and politics (but really only learning about the history of politics). I love to act, and do some improv comedy in my spare time.

I love to act, read, watch television, hang out with friends, and travel. My favorite author is Jane Austen (so I am clearly a hopeless romantic), and I often live inside my own head a lot, constantly thinking and day-dreaming. I watch shows like Dexter, The Office, and True Blood. I enjoy wearing scarves, and hope to collect them from all over the world. I hate spicy foods, and love sweet ice tea. I can't go anywhere without my ipod, camera, and germ-x. My favorite bands are The All-American Rejects, The Perishers, 3OH!3, and Motion City Soundtrack. I like going to cafes more than restaurants, and the theater more than the cinema.

I enjoy nature, but only recently am discovering this. I like to hike (went 15 miles through the Czech-Switzerland National Park a few years ago and constantly think of it, and it was awesome). I want to try new things, like cooking (I can only make 2 not good dishes right now), skiing, biking through a city, watching the sunset and rise (I realize I have never actually sat down to watch this), and just live. I want to take it all in and enjoy the time I have here, it is all precious.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is currently just that we all need to experience life. I know too many people that have grown up and now in their later years regret not having done as much as I am doing right now, and I never want to end with that regret. I want to do everything I possibly can, and hope I never look back saying, "I wish I would have done that." No, I want to say, "It sure was amazing when I did that!" So right now, I'm just doing as much as I can. I'm studying, learning, observing, and living, isn't that what it is all about?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I have not had much opportunity to participate thus far, I definitely hope to meet as many people that would like to travel through Arkansas and make a stop there. I want to help build a world within which we do not have to fear our neighbors, and in fact our neighbors can be thousands of miles away, but we still love and trust them. That is why I am choosing to be part of CS.

Interests

life, travel, reading, ADPi, tennis, rock candy, politics, theater, shopping (at flea markets especially), antiques, used books, winter activities, singing (although i do it poorly), laughing, taking pictures.

Music, Movies, and Books

all-american rejects, perishers, 3OH!3, motion city soundtrack, augustana, 16 candles, pretty in pink, persuasion, eragon, maroon 5, gavin degraw, tyler hilton, knocked up, fantastic four, iron man, there's something about mary, the da vinci code (book, not movie), the kite runner, a thousand splendid suns, picture of dorian gray, utopia, breakfast club, hairspray, vertical horizon

sorry it is all mixed together, just wrote it as it came.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have climbed to the top of a huge rock formation used as a castle centuries ago, in the middle of the Czech Saxon Switzerland National Park. It was beautiful, and amazing. Besides, I didn't think I could do it, and I did.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook fried chicken, to play tennis, and spend a lot of your time reading in the park. I hope to learn...well everything and anything.

I'm sorry I don't have a better, more insightful, answer. However, I am assuming you want honesty, and honestly I am not exactly sure what I can teach you, except about my life, which includes a lot of things, so I cannot really judge what you will find interesting or important. But I can tell you that I truly am interested in learning anything I can about other people...life, it is an interesting subject, no?
