About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My partner and I are on our way to Coober Pedy.

ABOUT
We are Sam and Cam living in New Zealand and exploring the world for one year.
We are both scientists and sporty, love good conversations and good stories.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is that I don't know how long I will have the privilege to roam this earth so I want to learn and experience as much as possible. But with respect to people and nature. Don't take more than you give.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went couchsurfing in Brazil, had the best host and met her friends and we visited the coolest places in her city. In Bolivia I went for a drink with a girl, had a great time in the little bars where you would not come if you're not with a local.

I have hosted some one from South Africa and some from the US we are still in touch cause we had so much fun.

Interests

I'm interested in environment and the effect of human activity on our planet, that is what I study. I love hearing different views of people with a different background and from a different culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a million things to keep me busy so I do not watch a lot of tv. The music I listen to is mostly Spanish to improve my understanding and translation skills or just anything on the radio while driving ;). But if anyone has a must see movie like; into the wild, at the end of the spear, the motorcycle diaries etc. I would love to hear about it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On this trip we went to Borneo and saw orangutans in the wild.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people a lot about Environmental, Climate sciences. I can teach people how to make little macrame owls. How to turn a stone and some metal into a cool pendant. How to cook a lovely vegetarian dinner. I can help people with learning Dutch, Spanish or English. I can tell about countries in Africa, South (and middle) America,, Europe, Thailand and Cambodia and Israel and Jordan.
I would love to learn more Spanish, professional English, special local recipes or anything else that is cool of which I do not know yet that it exists.

What I Can Share with Hosts
