About Me

Can't host right now, sorry!

CURRENT MISSION
Enjoying the little things in life.

ABOUT ME
Not fond of writing profile stuffs but here are a few things to note about me: I'm a pretty direct person, open-minded, very curious by nature and love animals! Especially the furry ones.

Just moved to the Triangle Area. Looking to meet folks & settle into the new city.

PHILOSOPHY
Never stop learning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes life obligations take over, but having time to plan out a few mini-vacations a year really makes a difference. I want to LIVE and not just be alive.

There are truly nice people everywhere in the world! The greater CS community reqlly reflectw this. Sometimes it feels like the utopia that we wish the world was where everyone was so nice, hospitable, friendly, considerate and generous. CS is proof that there is hope for humanity. ^__^

Interests

Interests range quite a bit. Crafts, reading, gardening and recently got into cooking.

Because I'm so fond of learning, I also enjoy listening and learning about just about everything! Particularly when traveling, it's super exciting to learn more in depth on local towns/cities or sights. Growing up I always had a thing for children's stories (The Brothers Grimm's collection along with the Chinese/Taiwanese ones I've heard); I'm also interested in learning of the ones from the cultures I visit they can tell a lot about their heritage or their attitudes.

Aside from that stuff, I'm quite fond of playing sports (soccer, ultimate, badminton, volleyball, bike/walk/hike) and looking for opportunities to learn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, that's what I'm here for. ;)

Actually, I can say I don't have any regrets. I'm quite happy with how I have lived my life so far. Sure there are always what if's and such, but I've learned that it's best to try and live a life without regrets than to regret later. That's part of how to live a full life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach any language that I know, basic economics, how to jump rope really fast, how to undo terrible most terrible knots, and share what I think the meaning of life is. Haha just kidding, though I am a sucker for good discussion and debate.

I like to stay curious. There is more pleasure from learning new things than other activities! I truly believe people learn something new everyday, the question is, do you remember them? I'd like to think my brain cells are being put to good use.

Whatever you want, just ask. I'm pretty good with sharing---food, space, books, drinks, stories, experiences, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am pretty flexible so it depends on the host if they want to spend time together. Totally fine either way.

I like to think I am good company. We can cook and share stories or I can just be a quiet guest passing through. Sometimes people just want a listening ear or want a little interruption in their life. I can do both or either quite well. Take your pick!

Personally I hope the hosts will join me for at least one meal or event while I am there but I understand they do not always have time to.
