My name’s Katya,

I’m a linguist, and, therefore, into the activities, which more or less require languages knowledge, starting from teaching, translating, interpreting - ending with applied business usage.

Every linguist is a cosmopolitan at the core. Since I remember myself I’ve always been at easy and in love with everything foreign – be it music, countries, or people. That’s probably the reason why I tend to end up with a great number of adventures, stories, and acquaintances.

I do indulge into travelling, be it faraway journeys, business trips, or mere wandering around my city. I would be happy to show you around Moscow, since I love and know it like the palm of my hand.

Intereses

Speaking of my interests, they are never confined to languages, I am fond of English nature (especially, cliffs, they top my list), Finnish metal & rock bands, French and Hungarian photographers (oh-la-la!), Japanese culture (printmaking, poetry and traditions), Dutch and German architecture (castles, Fachwerk), Swedish designs, Irish dancing (reeeeels are real fun), Italian fine art, Scandinavian mythology and Celtic folklore. This is only the tip of the iceberg ;)

At my spare time you can find me wandering in the park, cycling along Moscow streets, discovering something extraordinary with my camera, reading fiction and detectives, trying my best to be creative!
