Overview
About Me
My profile is in the 'old style' that the site had, it's interesting to see how much it has changed here! I'm back after a few years of not being able to host and hoping that as much as the site as changed the community hasn't :)
CURRENT MISSION
Smile, dance, laugh, explore!
ABOUT ME
I love being introduced to new people, places, music, food, drinks... anything to help keep the regular routine of 'work, eat, sleep' more interesting!
PHILOSOPHY
You really can change someone's day by offering up a smile. Be open, have fun and help other people do the same :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted many people in Vancouver and have had some of my best vacations surfing couches.
Currently I am a bit out of touch the CS community. I havne't been able to host for a few years but I am still a CSer at heart :)
Exciting update is that I just moved and my new roommate is open to the idea of hosting, I will have a couch available again when I get back from current travels!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The references generally say it all.
Interests
Music, bike rides, the beach, eating, drinking... enjoying all of those things with people.
For day time activities I am rather in love with biking. So if you're interested in a bike tour of Vancouver then get in touch, showing people around by bike is one of my favorite things to do. Or I can just tell you all the best bike routes to take, I'm pretty good for that!
For evening activities I am generally out being social with friends, whether that be singing karaoke, watching a movie, or just chatting over tea or drinks. I enjoy live music but Vancouver hasn't been the best at providing that these past few years.

Music, Movies, and Books
Just to name a few...
Music: Sufjan Stevens, Jens Lekman, Radiohead, Battles, Fleet Foxes, M83, Burial, Iron & Wine, Leonard Cohen, Devendra Banhart
Books: Douglas Adams, Douglas Coupland, George Orwell, Aldus Huxley, Milan Kundera, Jane Austen, Homer, classics in general
Movies: I'm easily entertained.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This might not be considered in the 'amazing' category for many on this site but a life changing event for me was living abroad. I was in a small town where I was a visible minority, people would point and stare and laugh at the white girl... this was a huge eye opener for me!
I can also wow you with stories of things like jumping out of airplanes and white water rafting :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Say hi to a stranger on the street, it really could make someone's day, you just never know. I will likely ask you what you are doing with your life, how you got there and why. I am interested in what motivates people.
I can teach you how to bake the easiest brownies and cupcakes, cookies, cheesecake, fudge... I love to bake :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Smiles, laughter, stories...
Cooking and generally being social are great ways to spend time with those hosting if they are around. I have been an absentee host before though so I know life can take you away from your home and have no expectations of my hosts.
