ABOUT ME

I moved from Northern Idaho after high school to Florida for a live-in nanny job. Then after a year I moved to Boston for undergrad for interior design. During this time I found out a lot about myself and traveled as much as possible. I visited friends in Ireland and Germany, studied in Italy, traveled on weekends to French, Spain, England, and Greece.
Once I got back from studying abroad I worked a nanny job or 2 and worked at Starbucks while finishing school. I love being busy and having things to do. I also realized during all this that I wanted to volunteer for a long period of time and I wanted to go to grad school.
Then after graduating I wanted to do something fun so I meet up with a friend in India and bumped around for a bit. Once I got back to the States, I packed up my Volvo S40 and did a month long road trip alone visiting friends and couch surfing with some pretty awesome people.
Then I was back in my beautiful small town for a hot sec. Then off to volunteer for 10 months with Americorps NCCC.
During this time I traveled all throughout the pacific region helping others. I realized I wanted to travel more before grad school so that I way I'm now living in Ottawa as a live-in nanny for a year. After this I will be heading to Patagonia for 2 months with NOLS for trekking and kayaking.
During my time in Ottawa I want to see everything and do as much as possible. I'm currently training for a half marathon and just working out as much as possible. Also, working on grad school stuff like studying for the GRE, writing my personal essay, fixing my portfolio and my website.
I'm hoping to skiing most weekends, take a French class and maybe an art class.

PHILOSOPHY

Live one day at a time and make the best of it. Enjoy what you have and learn to embrace the world in front of you. Also, everyone has something to teach you, whether it is good or bad!

I took a month to road trip across the US, from Boston to Northern Idaho and I loved staying with couch surfers all over the States!

I volunteered for 10 months with AmeriCorps NCCC, which showed me how much need there is all throughout the world.
