About Me

I live in Dayton Ohio!

My mission: Un-Official Ambassador for the US

Im 27 years old and working at a family owned welding and fabrication shop. I love it.
I've always wanted to see and live Europe. I always wanted to meet new people and cultural's ever since the World Scout Jamboree in England. That was my first taste of Europe and I've been wanting to go back ever since.

I follow the Golden Rule in everyday life. Totally believe in karma. Im a pretty down to Earth person. Will to try anything at least once, never know if you dont try.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is to have fun and do what you love. It should never be about money. I would rather do a job that I love for less money than a job that I hate for more money.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My CS experiences,

I went to Europe during the September in 2012 and surfed over there in France, Switzerland, and Germany. Had a real fun time.

I'm just getting back into CS an I'm hoping to meet some new people and make some new friends along the way.

2012: I meet up with a couple during the winter and had drinks with them, and hosted once during the summer. Went to Europe and surfed in France, Switzerland, and Germany. That was an awesome experience. Hope to do it again soon.

Interests

At heart, I am a gamer and an outdoors enthusiast. I love being outdoors with hiking and backpacking. I like to finish the day with a craft beer from one of the many local breweries. Madtree Brewing is probably my favorite, down near Cincy. Also Yellow Springs Brewery is a good one too!

I love traveling and seeing new places and meeting new people. I've been to London, Munich, Paris, and Geneva. I'm hoping to visit Iceland soon.

I brew beer everyone once and a while. I'm out of stock of the homemade kinda but I have local on hand.

I just finished Lab Girl by Hope Jahren for a book club. It was a good read. Need to finish my second read thru of The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. That is a grade A+++ book. Highly recommend.

Also just started photography. I'm not very good...

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite musical artists are Old Crow Medicine Show, Mumford and Sons, Trample by Turtles, Snow Patrol, The Naked and the Famous, Of Monster and Men, and Fun.

Books, to many to count. I love to read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked around 240 miles over 20 days. Was an awesome, life changing experience.

Surfed around Europe for 12 days and that was epic.

Went to the Oktoberfest in Munich('12 and '13) and that was awesome! Loved every second of it.

Went up in a hot air balloon at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta! It was sweet!

I'm headed to SLC, UT this year('17) to ski at Snowbird for the first time!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to cook, and like to think myself as a pretty good cook. Ill cook for whoever hosts me. I can also teach you how to brew beer and maybe some other things. I love telling stories and hearing stories. Lets share!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Here in Dayton we have the Air Force Museum(free!!!), a great brewery scene going on. Great hiking and biking trails. If you like to pub crawl, there is the Oregon District. Give me time before you show up and I can think of others things going on.
