About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living every day to the fullest without making too many plans about the future
ABOUT ME
I am currently studying medicine in Riga because I didn't graduate with good enough marks to get into a university in germany immediately (I wasnt really bad, its just that you have to be kind of a superhuman to be able to study medicine in germany…like in most other countries). I didn't want to wait a few years until someone would eventually grant me my wish back home so thats why I applied in Latvia, a city I did know nothing about at that time. I got accepted…an here I am 2 years later, calling Riga my home. For how long? I don't know. Not forever but so far so good.
If I should describe myself the first thing that comes to mind is that I am happy. I am a happy person. I can be moody from time to time as well (especially during exam period) but I learned that you have to accept things how they are if you can't influence them, accept the people around you without trying to change them and treasure what you have without always looking out for more. An this makes me a really joyful person.
I like spending time with people as much as I enjoy being on my own. I was told I am a good listener. I was also told I can be too stubborn from time to time.
I have no problem apologizing if I was wrong but I am also not able to keep my mouth shut if I feel that someone is making a mistake. Having a glass of wine, talking about everything that comes to mind is one of the most enjoyable things one can do on a regular evening, one where you don't go out partying.
I know that I am still learning, still growing but I have already seen and experienced a lot in my short life and I am able to manage myself well and am not dependent on others to lead me.
PHILOSOPHY
Try to accept people, especially friends, as how they are. Everyone has flaws but that doesn't mean that you have the right to try to change them. Don't waste your time on small things that bug you, there are much bigger problems in the world and you should focus on what you are able to change for the better.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am not able to host many people and if I do I'll have to be picky because I'm not living alone and my flatmate isn't too much into opening our flat too strangers. She's an amazing person though and will be a great host IF she agrees on hosting someone;)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met so many awesome people through couchsurfing. All of them influenced my life and I don't want to miss the great moments I experienced with them.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love watching movies way too much.
When it comes to music it doesn't really depend on the genre but on the artist.
Currently I am not readying much because I am the kind of person that once a book grabbed her attention won't be able to stop reading until the last page.
I can't do that while studying so most of my books are saved for semester breaks.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- experienced and survived a big explosion in India
- saw the grand canyon
- celebrated midsummer in Riga
- walked through what felt like whole Paris in one day by foot
- participated in the Strong Race in Latvia - most exhausting thing I did in my whole life
- wandered around italy at night and met the nicest it alien grandma who invited me for a meal
- first time traveling all alone has been to S.Korea and its been the best time of my life
