About Me

I'm Sophie (better known as Waldo/Waldog to my friends).

Born and raised in the coutryside in North Wales, UK.
But have since left that behind and moved around so much since turning 18!

I graduated from Manchester Met University.. in '14, and decided the industry for my degree just wasn't for me.. so I saved.. and here I am.

I have been travelling solo around S.E Asia for almost two years.. volunteering, experiencing, hiking, seeing, meeting so many unique people and most importantly.. EATING!!! The food is so good here (my tastebuds do not miss the UK).. and not much sleeping!

I am a friendly, independent traveller.. and I'd like to say I have a good sense of humor, although when my jokes/sarcasm doesn't translate I can have a hard time explaining! Hahah.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get to know some locals/interesting people theres no way better than seeing areas through the eyes of a local!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a wide interest in lots of genres of music
; having previously worked in the industry.. I have a real passion! I'm not a musician.. but I appreciate good music (with a good dose of Hip Hop thrown in)

Books: I've only just got back into reading science fiction/fiction.
Little obsessed with Haruki Murakami currently. I have been known to be travelling with 11 books in my bag at once.. I become attatched to them and want to pass them on to the right people.

Book worm..?? Maybe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many things.. the most recent climbing Mount Rinjani in Lombok Indonesia 3726m EAAAZAY EAAAZAY..

I then hiked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. 300km in 18days.. safe to say my knees were not my best friends!

And...
Surviving Delhi belly.. that is real talk.

I can offer good company and an open mind! I enjoy meeting new people, and seeing how they live!
